Electrostatic Driver Innovation

Eight carefully implemented electrostatic drivers per side deliver an exceptionally airy high-frequency extension—easily reaching up to 50kHz. Although their inherent sensitivity is only 99dB/mW (compared to the typical 110dB/mW of BA and dynamic drivers), the FX17’s design employs multiple electrostatic units to increase sound pressure levels. Taking the performance a step further, the FX17 integrates an electronic and physical dual-system five-way crossover. Notably, unlike earlier models with toggle functionality for electrostatic drivers, the FX17 increases the number of these drivers to reduce power requirements while ensuring they are a critical component in handling wide-ranging high frequencies.

Ergonomic Nozzle and Fit Enhancements

Extensive user feedback and scientific studies have led to a precise 10° adjustment of the sound nozzle relative to the ear canal, ensuring that the drivers align perfectly for enhanced comfort and stability. A reengineered 3D-shaped back cavity features a 1.4mm thick ear-conforming filling that secures the in-ear monitors (IEMs) more naturally, while a reduced thickness in the folded-screen area minimizes pressure on the ear, resulting in a truly comfortable and secure fit.
